STARTING AT 10AM FROM TREFRIW TO LLYN GEIRIONYDD AND LLYN CRAFNANT. Approx 7/8 miles less then 1000 ft of ascent
We will be walking in the varied terrain to the west of Trefriw enjoying the attractions of waterfalls, rivers, lakes, woodland, meadows and the industrial archaeology of the mining industry. (No Nuttalls unfortunately.) The paths good the views are great.
MEET at the free car par opposite the Trefriw Woollen Mill SH 782 630 on B5106 Conway to Betws y Coed. (loos nearby - bring your own soap!)
Walking from the rear of the Woollen Mill we will circuit both lakes.
Firstly to Llyn Geirionydd stopping to admire Taliesin's memorial.
Thence across to Llyn Crafnant for lunch at PICNIC TABLES! Around Llyn Crafnant and countour round back to Lyn Geirionydd possibly taking in the ruins of the Pandora lead/zinc mine and/or Llanrhychwyn C6 church(called Llewellyn's church locally) and then back to Trefriw. (With the possibility of carvery at the Fairy Falls Hotel or shopping in the Trefriw woollen mill shop.)
There are alternatives, short-cuts to those who decide on the carvery early or if the weather is particularly unpleasant.
