The August walk will be on Sunday Aug 7th starting at 1000.
It will be an easy 8 mile walk covering the limestone area of Hutton Roof and Farleton Fell.
There is a car park in an old quarry at grid ref 552761
To Get there take the M6 to J35 and exit heading north on the A6. Within a mile there is a roundabout with the A6070 signed for Burton in Kendal.
As you enter the village there is a right turn signed for Hutton Roof. After about 1.5 miles there is a car park on your left in an old quarry.
The limestone area is fascinating with unusual scenery, plants and butterflies. On a good day also views covering the Lake District, the Yorkshire Dales and the Howgills.
