Sunday 5th May 2019 - Glenridding tops (Whiteside and Raise) (Ullswater, Lake District)

                                           next to Information Centre
                                           Note: Pay parking fee at end of stay, £8 all day

Distance:                            Approx 7.5 miles (mainly clear paths over open hillside)               
Total Ascent:                      2600 feet

Route Description:
The walk heads out of Glenridding car park, through the village, then follows the Greenside Road to the  Helvellyn Youth Hostel.  Route then climbs steadily alongside the beck , then above Keppel Cove to the peak of Whiteside. Follow ridge path to Raise, then descending to Sticks Pass. Follow this return route past the ski area on upper slopes of Raise, then through the disused mine workings above the youth hostel.
