Approx 9 miles, 400m ascent. (5 hours)
Car park can be reached by taking the minor road from the centre of Trefriw (Conwy valley, near Llanwrst) , sign-posted Llyn Crafnant/ Llyn Cowlyd.
The road starts sharply uphill, then becomes narrower with passing places. Approx 2 miles from Trefriw.
Walk starts from Llyn Crafnant heading up to top end of lake. From there, head south over col below Crimpiau across open mountainside towards Capel Curig. Then easterly through open ground / forest tracks towards top of Llyn Geirionydd. Follow lakeshore, then back to Car park.
