The November club walk is just north of Wigan, between Haigh and Hindley.

Start and Finish
Haigh Hall, large car park. Post code WN2 1PE What3Words usual.cakes.kings
Unfortunately it is Pay and Display £3.50 all day.
However, there are good facilities there. Toilets and several options for coffee before and after walk.
Distance and Terrain
10 mile with options to adjust route if weather is not too good.
Mostly flat on good paths and tracks with just a couple of short easy climbs. Total ascent 650ft.
The route will take us down through Haigh Woodland Park over the Leeds Liverpool canal through mature woods. Following a dismantled railway track to the halfway point of the flight of locks up to top lock. A gentle climb. We leave the canal, pass Hindley golf course and enter Borsdane Wood and follow the lovely wooded path to the midpoint of the walk. A possible stop if required at the pub?
Heading back on open paths and then down to top lock though Kirklees Wood.
A short stretch along the canal, leaving it to return through woodlands leading to the miniature railway, past the walled garden at Haigh Hall to finish.
