An 8 mile circular walk on tracks, minor roads and footpaths (hopefully not too muddy!) through forest, open farm land and small villages. It is along a section of the Sandstone Trail that includes Rawhead and Bickerton Hill. The summit of Rawhead at 227m is the highest point in west Cheshire and gives commanding views of the surrounding countryside.
Meet at 10.00am Sandstone Trail Car Park, Barracks Lane, Higher Burwardsley GR 523 565
Follow signs to “Cheshire Workshops” whose car park is through the Sandstone Trail car park
