Start at 10.00 am in the "Cheshire Workshop" car park, Higher Burwardsley, CH3 9PF.
Park adjacent to the car park entrance.
The Peckforton Hills, 9 miles, 1000 ft of ascent
"A charming autumn walk because of the abundance of trees, in particular the numerous sweet chestnuts" And not too high with the trees offering some protection in case of bad weather.
It's a rough figure of eight walk. We start by walking south on the Sandstone Trail to Bulkeley Hill, then Bickerton Hill before heading north back under Bulkeley Hill and finally around Peckforten Castle to pick up the Sandstone Trail to head south for coffee back at the Cheshire Workshop
