Forest of Bowland, Hurst Green Village centre near B6243 Walley Road / Avenue Road junction.  W3W ///gown.flute.handfuls.

Parking

Normally there is street parking nearby. 

Additional parking at the Memorial Hall which is 300m further up Avenue Road. A suggested donation of £2. We will walk past the hall as we start the walk.

There are toilets adjacent the start W3W ///storyline.topical.instant  

Adjacent to the junction at the start is Millie's cafe which is normally open just after 9am should you be tempted.

Shireburn Arms also adjacent to the junction as an option after the walk.

The walk

Approx. 9 mile with a total ascent just over 1000ft

The route takes the group past the grade1 listed Stonyhurst Boarding school then down to the river Hodder. Shortly after we make our way up to the areas of forest on Longridge Fell then to the summit trig point at 350m. 

There is a bell we need to ring at one point, so we need a volunteer.....
